I would notice throughout the day moments where I was holding my breath
I would notice myself clenching my jaw
I would notice tension in my stomach and chest even when nothing was going on in the moment
Trying to relax, I didn’t think I was allowed
I was holding onto so much stress, fear, anxiety
From physical chaos and the mental
I was constantly worried and stressed from the past, about my present and about the future
I was stressed about what others would do or say
I was holding onto so much fear
I was holding onto so much trauma
Even fear in having what I deeply desired
It was miserable
It led to numbing and suppressing
It led to shame and self punishment
Until I healed this and let myself actually breathe
Like deeply breathing
