Metabolism is the cycle of the body turning food into energy.
We have all heard someone in our lives say they have a slow metabolism with age/genetics, etc. We could have heard someone blaming weight and other issues on theirs as well as jealousy that a thin person must just be lucky with a fast metabolism.
