You know what I chose!
My journey to losing 20lbs years ago was filled with deprivation (no birthday cakes) and counting everything on every label, getting up before my kids were awake to push and punish my body and I gained it back so quickly! Not only that, I definitely did NOT feel joy. In fact I was even more numb which led to a viscous cycle of eating to feel something, and then punishing myself for overeating. 

My journey since healing, has been so fun and freeing. While looking at trauma and emotions can be hard, it is worth it. I released 100lbs in 13 months, felt amazing along the way and still do, all while eating pizza and enjoying birthday cake and still years later I enjoy it all while thriving!

Honestly, what is the point if you are going to be miserable on your journey and when you get to your goals?
